Good news! Next year, the new season of TopGear will be express-beamed to Australian TVs just days after first airing in the UK.
In a new deal, episodes from season 19 – which is being filmed as we speak and will premier in the UK in February – will air on Foxtel’s BBC Knowledge mere days after Britain.
This is big news for Aussie TopGear fans, who have had to wait sometimes weeks for new TG episodes, which are then broadcast on the Nine network at not-so-bedtime-friendly hours.
The show will continue to be shown on Nine, but only after it has aired on BBC Knowledge. And full episodes will, of course, be posted here on TopGear.com, so you can catch-up on any TG you’ve missed.
So the question we ask you is this: what do you think? Who has Foxtel or who is happy to wait a bit and watch it on channel Nine?

Guess we’ll have to endure the adverts which will be as long or longer than the program.. only good thing is in a couple of days/weeks? we get to see the re-runs on their other channel ( Go-99 ) at a more appropriate time.

I agree with MG, Top Gear should be on ABC, life’s to short for Foxtel and adds on channel 9, thank god for torrents
Programmes of importance should not be on Pay TV. SBS or ABC only people to give proper respect to great shows.
I hope the wait would be worth it,I hope this new series will feature more episodes and alot more details,I also hope the christmas special will be better
I’d like to purchase it on iTunes, but Nine have rights to it & won’t upload anything recent. Kinda sad really, as it’s the only means of myself watching it & cannot view anything unless I tune in at an idiotic time…
no foxtell here, just put it on gem or the other channel asap. dont show it on 9 as only idiots watch 9.

go to bbc knowledge on foxtel at 5:30 pm just before the uk top gear and top gear America if its sunday .
I need it to be on 9 because im on hoilday and they dont have foxtel.
ch 9 has treated TG extremely badly.. continually changing its timeslot, filling it full of commercials, etc..
If the TG producers cared about their brand they would give it back to SBS..
Does anyone know the rating figures when it was on SBS and now when it is on 9?

well, i normally download it as soon as it has aired in the uk cos i dont watch much tv cos of all the annoying adds.
